Therefore, we should keep the shock absorber in good working condition. The following methods can be used to check whether the shock absorber works well

1. Stop the car after 10km on the road with poor road conditions, and touch the shock absorber shell with your hand. If it is not hot enough, it means that the interior of the shock absorber is unobstructed, so that the experimental can measure the force of relevant objects by itself, and the shock absorber does not work. At this time, appropriate lubricating oil can be added, and then the test can be carried out. If the shell is heated, it is the internal oil shortage of the shock absorber, and sufficient oil should be added; Otherwise, the shock absorber fails

2. Press the bumper firmly and release it. If the car jumps for 2 ~ 3 times, it means that the shock absorber works well

3. When the car moves slowly and brakes in an emergency, if the car vibrates violently, it indicates that there is a problem with the shock absorber

4. Remove the shock absorber and put it upright, clamp the lower connecting ring on the vise, and pull and press the shock absorber rod several times. At this time, there should be stable resistance. The resistance of pulling up (restoring) should be greater than that of pressing down. If the resistance is unstable or no resistance, it may be the lack of oil in the shock absorber or the damage of valve parts. Repair or replace the parts

5. After determining that there is a problem or failure of the shock absorber, check whether the shock absorber leaks oil or has traces of old oil leakage

6. The oil seal washer and seal washer are broken and damaged, and the oil storage cylinder cover nut is loose

7. If oil leakage is found, tighten the oil cylinder head nut first. If the shock absorber still leaks oil, it may be that the oil seal and sealing washer are damaged and invalid, and the seal should be replaced with a new one. If the oil leakage still cannot be eliminated, pull out the shock absorber rod. If you feel that there is a hairpin or the weight is different, further check whether the gap between the piston and the cylinder barrel is too large, whether the shock absorber piston connecting rod is bent, and whether the piston connecting rod surface and the cylinder barrel are scratched or scratched

8. If all economic and technical indexes of the shock absorber meet the quantitative and qualitative index requirements of new plastic materials, and there is no oil leakage, check whether the shock absorber connecting pin, connecting rod, connecting hole, rubber bushing, etc. are damaged, desoldered, cracked or fallen off. If the above inspection is normal, the shock absorber should be further disassembled to check whether the fit gap between the piston and the cylinder barrel is too large, whether the cylinder barrel is strained, whether the valve seal is good, whether the valve disc fits tightly with the valve seat, and whether the extension spring of the shock absorber is too soft or broken. Repair it by grinding or replacing parts according to the situation

9. In addition, the shock absorber will make a sound in actual use, which is mainly caused by the collision between the shock absorber and the leaf spring, frame or shaft, the damage or fall off of the rubber pad, the deformation of the shock absorber dust cylinder, insufficient oil and other reasons. The causes should be found out and repaired

10. After inspection and repair, the shock absorber should be tested on a special test bench. When the resistance frequency is 100 ± 1mm, the resistance of its extension stroke and compression stroke should meet the requirements. For example, the maximum resistance of the extension stroke of the liberation cal091 is 2156 ~ 2646n, and the maximum resistance of the compression stroke is 392 ~ 588n; The maximum resistance of Dongfeng vehicle's extension stroke is 2450 ~ 3038n, and the maximum resistance of compression stroke is 490 ~ 686n. If there are no test conditions, we can also adopt an empirical approach. With the development of computer technology, that is, use an iron bar to penetrate into the lower ring of the shock absorber, step on both ends with both feet, hold the upper ring with both hands, and pull it back and forth for 2 to 4 times. When pulling up, the resistance is great, and when pressing down, it is not laborious, and the tensile resistance has recovered compared with that before repair, without a sense of emptiness, which indicates that the shock absorber is basically normal
